Because of the analogy between both methods, FSM can use the same tooling as ISM.

The description of the FSM processes can be documented in a publication tool; all adequate publication tools can be used for this. Some of our partners have a tool that is already configured. The FSM organization structure will also be documented in these tools. Based on the FSM templates, all methods of working will be then developed and documented.

A service management tool that is already in place can also be used for supporting the execution of FSM activities. Configured tools by are partners can also be plugged in.    

By re-using tools that are already in place and organization can implement FSM at an even lower cost than ISM.
