ISM process model
Processes are arrangements of activities, which preferbly occur in a integrated manner. The ISM model consists of only six elementary processes for defining activities at tactical and operational levels, in a fully integrated model. These six processes are directly based on widely used ITIL processes, and have been elaborated in a uniform and transparent way, right down to the level of individual activities. The compact and recognizable form of ISM means that it can be easily adapted to the needs of any organization.
The ISM model consist of the following processes:
Service Level Management (SLM)
Change Management (CHM)
Operations Management (OM)
Incident Management (IM)
Configuration Management (COM)
Quality Management (QM)
The descriptions of these six processes form the core of the ISM model, to which standard definitions and templates are then added.
